Account Executive

United Visual is currently seeking an Account Executive to work out of our corporate office in Itasca, IL.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Executive, with exceptional client relationships and direct experience with selling high level technology solutions in the area of visual communications, video conferencing, information technologies or related technology field. Responsibilities include partnering with our experienced Engineering Team to design and sell mission critical and high profile integrated audiovisual and unified communication systems. United Visual Account Executives are expected to be the single point of contact for business development and the overall escalation point for project performance, requiring excellent communication, task management and organizational skills, in addition to industry experience and up to date product knowledge.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years direct technical sales experience including managing high profile client relationships.
  • Ability to market and develop business opportunities with limited support or daily direction.
  • A strong familiarity of the local marketplace.
  • Excellent customer communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to close business, securing orders under acceptable company terms and margins.

Inside Sales Representative


United Visual Inc. is seeking a full time Inside Sales Representative in our corporate office.

The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

Job duties:

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
  • Fill requests for catalogs, information or samples
  • Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals
  • Setup and maintain customer files
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team

Skills:

Audiovisual Crestron / AMX Programmer

We are currently seeking an experienced Integration Programmer in our corporate office that is looking for a rewarding career with growth opportunity. Qualified candidates should possess skills to write programming code for Audio Visual integrated control systems such as AMX, Crestron and Extron. Knowledge of C++ is required. The candidate must be able to create and compile files, author user manuals, and work as a team member to assist our Sales and Systems departments with programming-related tasks. Training is available!

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a programming-related field or C++ programming experience.
  • Practical knowledge of Java and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Develop and/or modify AMX, Crestron, and Extron program code on installed AV systems. Strong understanding of AV systems including audio and video conferencing and computer networks required.
  • Collaborates with client and account manager to understand how end users will use the system. Develops intuitive end user GUIs that let the users focus on the message and not have to focus on system operation. GUIs to be submitted to the client for approval.
  • Ability to work independently without intensive oversight. Focus on quality, committed to continual improvement, will take the initiative on a regular basis finding ways to avoid problems proactively rather than just fixing them after the fact. Initiative and ability to research problems independently, finding root cause with an emphasis on sharing knowledge through good communications, peer training and written documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well organized. Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast paced and high-pressure environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work in a strong team environment, taking the lead when needed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and meet budgetary goals all while providing a quality experience for the client.
  • Provides programming leadership, researches and stays informed on new products and trends in the A/V industry. Shares knowledge with team. Provides technical support for all internal and external clients with control system related issues.
  • Ability to effectively train end users on system operation so they get the maximum benefit out of their investment including simple troubleshooting tips. Creates user guides of system operation for clients when needed.
  • Be willing and able to efficiently troubleshoot and fix wiring issues when needed
  • Experience with client interactions such as previous applications support, development, or engineering support roles.
  • CTS certification a requirement. Manufacturers certifications from AMX, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, Tandberg are a plus.
  • Attend training sessions to obtain certifications based on company needs.
  • Some travel will be required.

Knowledge and experience in the audiovisual industry or related is a plus. Successful experience in outside sales is mandatory.
