With Year 2000 quickly approaching, there has been much talk and debate about the "millennium bug" or "Y2K (year 2000) problem." Simply put, computer systems and software commonly use two digits to represent the calendar year and ignore century when manipulating date data. As a result these systems/software may incorrectly interpret the change from year 1999 to 2000, causing errors in its data output or in more extreme cases shutdowns.

"Century Compliance" or "Y2K (year 2000) Compliant" are terms used to describe products that are not affected by the change of century, or products that have been changed to accept and manage the change of century in their date code.

Because Toshiba LCD projectors do not contain components or software that use date codes, all Toshiba LCD projectors are Y2K Compliant. The change of century will have no effect on the continued correct operation of the projector. This includes projector models: TLP310U, TLP311U, TLP410U, TLP411U, TLP510U, TLP511U, TLP510A, TLP511A, TLP710U, TLP711U, TYG1, TYG3, TYG5 and TYG7. These models are designed to be used before, during and after January 1, 2000 and will not be affected by the change of date at the millennium.

Please refer to the below chart for the Year 2000 status of your Toshiba LCD Projector. Please be aware that all future Toshiba products will be "Year 2000" compliant.
