Winter months...summer months, and my camcorder's battery.

Effect of cold weather on batteries

A frozen battery will last less time than a warm oneIf your camcorder doesn't seem to run as long on a charge during cold winter months as it does during the warmer months, it's not your imagination. Batteries last considerably less time when the temperature drops below freezing. All you can do is keep the camcorder and battery warm indoors as long as possible before you use it. (Even keeping it inside the car while you travel, rather than in the trunk, will help). There are also cloth covers for some models that help keep them warm during use. Any steps that you can take to to keep the battery warmer will help extend the running time in cold climates.
