Why are there colored dots in my projected image?

Dust specks on the LCD inside an LCD projector will appear as colored dots in the projected image. This is a confusing situation, since dead pixels look about the same and require replacing the LCD panel to eliminate them (very expensive). Dust on the LCD can be labor intensive to fix, but it's a comparatively inexpensive repair. You can see why it is important to use a service center you know and can trust. By the way, to minimize dust accumulating on your LCD panels in your projector, clean the projectors filters on a regular basis.
