Digital-ready already?
Digital-ready
televisions
You might be surprised
to learn that digital television technology has already arrived.
Some TV sets sold today are "digital-ready". They have component
video inputs for digital-to-analog signals, such as DVDs, camcorders,
and Digital Broadcast System (DBS) satellite services. These sets
let you enjoy the advantages of clearer, sharper pictures. When
DTV arrives, you can add a down-converter box to view the programming
on your analog TV. But, you will not have the full performance
benefits of a DTV receiver.
