CAD Operator - Itasca - IL
Job Opportunity:
United Visual is currently seeking a CAD Operator in our corporate office. The CAD Operator is responsible for carrying out all company goals and objectives as it relates to the position. Canidate should have the skills to successfully interface with all departments of company, (sales, operations, and accounting) to provide accurate drawings/documentation of installed audio visual communication systems. Also works with pre-sales to provide drawings for proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales Department during the sales process by providing drawings for submittals/quotations.
- Assist Operations Department in providing documentation for customer installed systems and internal company use.
- Develop comprehensive naming and storage scheme for archiving customer drawings for future retrieval.
- Maintains consistent knowledge of new technology/standards to assure the most accurate documentation processes
- Other duties as required or assigned by company management
Qualifications:
The CAD Operator shall possess a minimum of a two-year degree in the field of CAD technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This person must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be familiar with developing layouts from schematics. Experience with {CAD software program} required. Familiarity with Audio Visual and Network Technologies a plus.

Entry Level Systems Engineer - Itasca - IL
Job Opportunity:
United Visual is currently seeking an entry level System Engineer in our corporate office. The System Engineer is accountable for being articulate in the systems provided and supported by United Visual, Inc. Responsible for providing pre and post sales support to sales and technical staff on audio visual communication systems. Must have ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sales and technical staff with technical support on both a pre and post sales basis
- Provide high end technical support for customer related service issues
- Assist sales staff with joint sales calls to customer site. This may require the System Engineer to perform technical presentations and provide support
- Assist sales and estimating staff by providing support with system design
- Manage vendor relationships by addressing product updates, product problems, and high end troubleshooting issues
- Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers
- Assist with training internal technical or sales staff on new products
- Other duties as required or assigned by company management
Qualifications:
The Systems Engineer shall possess a two-year electronics degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1year working experience in the electronics field is required. This person must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.
Travel:
Some out of town travel required.
